About
By JakeMy name is Jake Barber, and I am a professional photographer and student in Moscow, Idaho. I started shooting when I was about 10 years old with my mother’s old Pentax K-series camera, and I haven’t stopped since. I started doing portraits and event photography in high school and shortly after I graduated I upgraded to a Nikon D200. I am currently the photo editor of the University of Idaho Argonaut and the manager of the UI Photo Bureau.
Some day I hope to go into international photojournalism in the footsteps of some of my personal heroes like Jim Lo Scalzo and Ashley Gilbertson. Right now I’m just going to finish my degree and see where life takes me from there.
